I created an art book about a street in Detroit for the WCA (Women's Caucus for the Arts) exhibit
Eyes on the D. Fingers are crossed it gets accepted. It features watercolors of nine houses on the street spanning three neighborhoods. The 11 panels strech out to a whopping 9' in glorious double sided length, but stand nicely in an area much smaller.
This Friday from 7-10 pm at Bona Sera (Washington and Michigan Ave.) is the reception for the Festival of the Honey Bee in downtown Ypsilanti. Two of my watercolors include quite a few bees among the flowers. I'm printing a postcard for those who wish to purchase something smaller in size and price.
Sunday is the Kerrytown Book Festival. I'll be there right outside Sweetwaters to help you make a pamphlet book of poetry. Demo time is 2pm. We will provide the supplies and the poems. I plan to bring some of the illustrations from my most recent project.
And if that's not enough, fellow AAWA (Ann Arbor Women Artists) member Brooke Monette and I have an exhibit at the Level One Bank and Community Gallery at 22635 Woodward in downtown Ferndale, MI.
